Christmas Coffee

Every morning I sit here and listen to the guys working on the new addition to the house, the hammering, the scraping, the sawing etc.  It doesn't exactly make for a bright, sunshiny start to the day.  So, I make a giant pot of Christmas Coffee.  If I must sit here in the chaos, I will do it highly caffeinated.  What is Christmas Coffee, you ask?  It's just regular coffee infused with spices to make it extra special.  It's barely a recipe, but I had to share it with you.  It's just such an easy way to elevate your coffee to the next level.  Perfect for the holidays!

How to do it:  When you make your pot of coffee, after you add the grounds, sprinkle a little pumpkin pie spice onto the grounds (not too much, it's powerful stuff) then add a few drops of vanilla extract to the grounds.  Turn your pot on.  That's it.  It's seriously easy but makes your coffee taste like it came from a fancy coffee house.

So, the next time you make a pot of coffee, give this a try.  It'll make even the most hectic morning a little brighter.  Enjoy!
